SUDDEN LEE?


ONLY 5% OF THE BABIES ARE BORN ON THE DUE DATE.

So be sure to get your hospital bag ready when "Sudden Lee" arrive early!!

There's no right or wrong when should you pack your hospital bag. But i got mine ready at 34 weeks. Best is between 34 to 36 weeks.

I will share with you my hospital bag packing list (SINGAPORE context)

Documents :

1. Gynae Letter
2. Hospital admission form (my gynae faxed my pre admission form to Mount A)
3. Original outpatient receipts to your gynae (to claim Medisave)
4. Birth plan
5. Original ROM certificate if you want to register your LO's birth cert at the hospital 

*You can either register your baby’s name at the hospital or at Immigration and Custom Authority(ICA). Birth should be registered within 14 days from the date of birth, including Sundays and public holidays. If registration is done after 42 days, a letter of explanation stating the reason for late registration must be submitted for the Registrar/Registrar General's approval. After approval has been given, the birth will be registered and the birth certificate will be issued.


For Mummy:

1. Personal belongings (wallet, original IC, phone)
2. Phone charger
3. 2 sets of nightgown with front access for easier breastfeeding
4. 2 pairs of warm socks
5. Disposable underwear (1 pack of 5)
6. Maternity pads
7. 2 pair of nursing bra
8. Nursing pad
9. Waterproof sheets (in case water bag burst, can avoid staining the cars)
10. Breast pump (if you would like to consult LC about the correct flange size or how to use the pump)
11. Toiletries (Toothbrush, toothpaste, shower gel, dry shampoo)
12. Non-slip slippers
13. 1 set of discharge clothing
14. Cardigan
15. Plastic bag to keep dirty clothes
16. Entertainment gadget and earpiece (iPad)
17. Snacks
18. Nipple cream
19. Bottom spray (for vaginal birth)
20. Feeding cup
21. Nursing pillow
22. Baby carrier

For Daddy :

1. Personal belongings
2. Phone charger
3. Coins for vending machine
4. Outwear (to be use in labour ward)
5. A push gift!

For LO :

1. 2 pairs of mittens and booties
2. Discharge clothing
3. Receiving blanket / swaddle
4. Hat/cap


Some items are totally optional! Example entertainment gadget, nursing pillow etc.

Do share the love to other FTM who has no idea what to pack!!



2 days ago was my routine gynae check up and I was so discouraged when my gynae told me my baby is in Transverse Lie position at 35 weeks and 5 days.



Guess what, I was born at 41 weeks at transverse lie position so my mom had to go through c sec. Baby R please be good boy and turn your head down for mummy cuz mummy Kay really hoping for natural birth. If anybody has any suggestions on how I can turn my baby down please do share with me! Thank you! <3
